Job Title – IT CHANGE MANAGEMENT

 

 

Roles & Responsibility

 

         Track & manage Hardware and Software Asset Management operations in scope (data center devices and software products) and licenses throughout their lifecycle from procurement through disposal, in order to reduce cost, improve compliance, and mitigate risks.

         Assist with internal and third-party hardware/software Service provider audits & industry-compliance reviews. Create and implement remediation plans based on audit findings.

         Track system locations including inventory stock, maintain and update reports for equipment provisioned/decommissioned using existing tools.

         Responsible for asset management database (AMDB) entries and updates, incorporation of warranty, lease, user, financial, software versions, and more, lifecycle status changes, validations and reconciliation activities.

         Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation for hardware, software & licenses lifecycle management service delivery. Ensure that all documentation is maintained and updated.

         Audit Work on internal and external audits from SAM side in partnership with Sourcing and other stake holders to highlight risk and opportunities.

         Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of standard global procedures, tools, and practice in support of proper software asset management activities

         Work with different stakeholders (desktop, server, IT procurement teams etc) to successfully plan, support, coordinate, and track software assets throughout the asset lifecycle from procurement to deployment to disposition.

         Track and monitor the software/hardware license usage to ensure the license compliance. Additionally, enforce and improve processes and controls over software license acquisition, deployment/redeployment and upgrades.

         Explore opportunities for maximizing unused or partially used assets to achieve full efficiency and ROI. Decommission all unused assets to optimize cost.

         Logging tickets with Service Providers related to SAM tasks and following up with them to ensure timely closure of the tickets.

         Preparing Monthly report of hardware, software, consumable stock and reconciliation report.

         Track & Monitor Warranty/EOL/EOS of all hardware/software assets in scope. Updating IMAC changes, collect and maintain software in licenses category.

Closely work with Configuration management team (along with others) and ensure all data is upto date in CMDB

 

Skills Required:

         Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Finance, Accounting or other applicable subject area or related work experience.

         Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Asset management or related field preferred.

         A techno-functional Software Asset Management expert over multiple Domains in software asset management.

         Good knowledge of industry standard SAM Process / Policies and regulatory requirements.

         Building and sustaining effective Communications with all stakeholders towards the goal of setting up effective process and maximizing customer experience.

         Engage cross-functional teams to review and propose optimization opportunities and identify process gaps.

         Proactively engage and strive for Audit ready state for SAM.

         Participate in Software audits (Internal & External) and propose Remediation efforts.

         Investigate and Reconcile data repositories to ensure consistency and maintain data integrity.

Preferred Skills:

         Hands on experience on compliance activities end to end for at least a few primary SW vendors like IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, other critical vendors in the market.

         In-depth knowledge of Software Licensing models from major vendors and knowledge for both on premises and cloud environment.

         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to host and drive sessions.

         Experience with establishing and capturing measurements and metrics.

         Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, including Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Word. MIS skills on analysis and managing the records of all technology assets

         IAITAM or SAM Certifications.

         Service Now SAM Implementation experience would be great.

         Hands on experience on Service Now- SAM module.

         Relevant experience on compliance activities end to end for at least a few primary SW vendors in the market.

         General understanding of IT landscape including application, database, OS and network technologies, hardware, tools, etc
